Frequently asked questions about this service

Do you drain the water too?

No. Draining can take 12-24h with siphon or hose. Do it before we arrive (usually the night before). Otherwise, $75 surcharge for us to wait.

Hot tub is embedded in the deck. Still doable?

Yes, with surcharge based on difficulty ($50-150). Send us photos for us to confirm.

How long on-site?

3-5 hours for standard (6-8 person) tub. Larger or difficult access: up to 7-8 hours.

Do you take everything?

Yes, including the shell (the biggest challenge), plastics, pump, heater, cabinet. Ground is left clean, no pieces.

Who handles the electrical disconnection — do I need an electrician?

If the tub plugs into an accessible outlet or shut-off, we unplug it ourselves. If it's hard-wired to your panel, a licensed electrician has to disconnect it first, since we don't do panel work. Not sure which you have? Send us a photo and we'll tell you.

Do you also remove above-ground pools?

Yes. We dismantle above-ground pools the same way. Drain it the day before, then we take down the liner, walls, frame and any deck sections and haul it all away. Send photos of the size and setup so we can quote it accurately.

Should I get my old hot tub removed before winter?

It's the smart move. Draining is much easier before the first freeze, and a dead tub left over a Quebec winter can crack, hold ice and get buried in snow. Booking in the fall means thawed, workable ground and a faster job for the crew.
