My mattress has bed bugs. Do you take it?

Yes, with special procedure: hermetic wrapping on-site by us, $75 surcharge for decontamination and extra recycling centre fees.

Do you come just for one mattress?

Yes. $89 minimum. To save, bundle with other items (dresser, boxes, old sofa — often fits in the same 1/8 truck).

What's RecycMatelas?

Quebec's official mattress and box spring recycling program. Materials (springs, foam, fabric) are separated and recycled instead of landfilled. Mandatory in Quebec since 2022.

Does it include sofa-bed pickup?

Yes. A sofa-bed counts as 2 items (base + mattress) but often fits in 1/8 truck.

Why can't I just leave my mattress at the curb for garbage pickup?

Most Quebec City boroughs won't take mattresses with regular collection, and bulky-item pickup is limited and slow to book. We come when it suits you and haul it straight to RecycMatelas, so it's handled properly instead of sitting on your lawn for weeks.

Do you take the box spring and bed frame at the same time?

Yes. The box spring goes to RecycMatelas with the mattress and its wood gets recycled, and we take metal or wood frames too. A full set often still fits in the 1/8 truck, so removing it all together keeps the price down.

My mattress is really old and stained — will you still take it?

Yes, condition doesn't matter. Stained, sagging, torn or decades old, RecycMatelas still breaks it down for the metal, foam and fabric. The only mattress we handle differently is one with bed bugs, which needs the wrapping procedure and a surcharge.
