L’Ange-Gardien is the third-oldest parish on the Côte-de-Beaupré, tucked between Boischatel and Château-Richer and looking straight across at Île d’Orléans. A two-speed housing stock. Along avenue Royale — the old route 138 — you’ll find the heritage heart of the village: ancestral homes, the church, the presbytery, and some of the oldest houses in the region. Away from the river, the rangs and the newer residential developments are home to young families in newly built or semi-detached houses. That gives us two very different kinds of jobs: old homes packed with decades of accumulation, and newer properties where it’s mainly the basement and the garage to clear.
Estate cleanouts and family homes. As across the whole Côte-de-Beaupré, a good share of our calls here involve estates. A house that’s been in the same family for generations comes up for sale: full attics, outbuildings, heavy furniture, belongings from another era. We work with families and estate liquidators at their own pace, no pressure, separating what can be donated or recycled from what goes in the bin.
Basements, attics, and farm buildings. The terraced terrain means many properties have a full basement and an accessible attic — two spots where clutter quietly piles up. On the farmland that remains, a cleanout can also take in a barn, an old farm building, or equipment left outdoors.
Access. Some driveways along avenue Royale are narrow or slope down toward the river; properties out on the rangs tend to have long lanes instead. We assess access ahead of time so we can plan the haul-out and confirm a firm price, with no surprises on the day.
Getting here from Quebec City. L’Ange-Gardien is about fifteen minutes from downtown via autoroute Dufferin-Montmorency, and roughly 25 to 30 minutes from Sainte-Foy. It’s within our standard service zone — no travel surcharge — and we can often come the same day or on the weekend.
