Saint-Nicolas isn’t a Quebec City borough — it’s a sector of the city of Lévis. The parish dates back to 1694, one of the oldest in the country, and the area has kept that split personality ever since: an old village core overlooking the Saint-Lawrence, and sprawling residential zones built up since the 1980s.
Three zones, three realities.
The Bernières sector (east). This is the gateway from the North Shore — the Québec and Pierre-Laporte bridges land right here. Newer developments, young families, finished basements and double garages. Modern-suburb cleanouts, with good truck access.
The old village (west). Around the parish church (église Saint-Nicolas) — rebuilt in the 1960s with its distinctive sail-shaped silhouette — and along route Marie-Victorin. Older homes, some heritage-listed, attics and sheds that have been filling up for decades. Often estate cleanouts, where we empty an entire family home.
The central sector. In between, residential neighbourhoods around the golf course: mid-sized to large lots, detached garages and garden sheds.

Getting there from Quebec City. Saint-Nicolas is one of the quickest Lévis sectors for us to reach: once you’re across the Pierre-Laporte bridge from Sainte-Foy, you’re in Bernières in about fifteen minutes. The old village, a bit further west, adds five to ten. No South Shore surcharge — same rate as downtown Quebec City, priced on the actual volume in the truck.
