Saint-Rédempteur is a residential sector of Lévis, on the west bank of the Chaudière River, within the Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Ouest borough. A former small municipality that merged into Lévis in 2002, it counts roughly 7,700 residents across barely 3.83 km². It sits wedged between Charny to the east and Saint-Nicolas to the west. Saint-Rédempteur is one of the smallest sectors in Lévis, but one of the most densely residential. The neighbourhood sits near the confluence of the Chaudière and Beaurivage rivers, and the Canadian National rail line cuts it in two — a legacy of the era when a good share of residents worked for the railway. That split has a real effect on how we get from one side of the sector to the other.
Two Saint-Rédempteurs, two kinds of cleanout.
