Neuville is a historic riverfront village in the MRC de Portneuf, about a half-hour west of Quebec City along Route 138. Nicknamed the “sweet-corn capital” of Quebec (« capitale du maïs sucré »), the town has close to 4,600 residents, old stone houses lining the Chemin du Roy, and large farm lots throughout. We’re out this way on a regular basis. From $99.
Junk removal in Neuville, what to know
Neuville sits on marine terraces overlooking the Saint-Lawrence River and is one of the oldest municipalities in the region. Its village core — the Saint-François-de-Sales church, the old presbytery, and the stone houses along rue des Érables — holds a concentration of built heritage that’s rare in Quebec. That changes the kind of cleanout we do here.
Old buildings, plenty of estates. Many of Neuville’s homes have been passed down for generations, and some date back to the French Regime. When a property changes hands or an estate is settled, we clear out houses filled over decades: heavy furniture, dishware, boxes stored away for years. We work carefully in these old buildings, where floors and door frames are often fragile. Our estate cleanout service is built for exactly this.
Attics, barns, and farm buildings. Neuville is still a farming village, known across the region for its sweet corn. Many properties have a barn, a shed, or a detached garage where old equipment, materials, and forgotten items pile up. These cleanouts run large and sometimes take two trips — we assess the volume up front for a firm price.
Recent residential developments. Neuville’s population has climbed steadily since the late 1990s, and newer neighbourhoods have grown up around the old village. There the work is more standard: basement clear-outs, appliance removal, post-move cleanouts.
Access varies from one sector to the next. Around rue des Érables, the old village streets are narrow and parking is tight, so we size the truck accordingly. On the large riverfront and farm lots, we plan instead for wheeling loads down long driveways and reaching buildings at the back of the property.
Getting there from Quebec City. From our warehouse, Neuville is about half an hour away via autoroute 40 or Route 138. No surcharge for the distance — it’s part of our standard service zone, same as the rest of Portneuf we cover.
