Portneuf isn’t a neighbourhood — it’s a whole region. The Portneuf RCM (MRC de Portneuf) stretches west of Quebec City along the river, a 30- to 50-minute drive out. Eighteen municipalities, more than 56,000 residents, towns like Donnacona, Pont-Rouge and Saint-Raymond, and riverside villages like Cap-Santé and Deschambault-Grondines. We make the trip. From $99 (a distance surcharge may apply depending on the municipality — we’ll confirm on the phone).
Junk removal in Portneuf, what to know
One region, not a single village. We work right across the RCM. The autoroute 40 / route 138 corridor — the historic chemin du Roy — links Cap-Santé, Donnacona and Portneuf along the river; Pont-Rouge and Saint-Basile follow the rivière Jacques-Cartier; Saint-Raymond opens up farther north toward the Bras-du-Nord valley. These three hubs alone hold half of the region’s population.
A very mixed housing stock. The type of building changes from one municipality to the next, and the cleanout with it. The old cores of Cap-Santé and Deschambault-Grondines have older, sometimes heritage homes: low attics, sheds, outbuildings filled over the decades. Donnacona and Pont-Rouge, on the other hand, have seen strong recent growth — bungalows, single-storey homes, finished basements, double garages. Jobs range from the attic of a century-old house to a straightforward suburban basement.
Estates and cottage country. Two situations come up often here. First, estates: many long-held properties, cleared out after a death or a sale. Second, cottages: the shores of lac Sept-Îles and the rivière Sainte-Anne hold plenty of second homes that change hands or go up for rent, with old furniture to haul out. We handle both, sorting for donation and recycling.
Access and rural logistics. Lots here are often bigger than in the city: long driveways, barns, sheds, detached garages with a workshop. We plan for hauling over distance and for reaching secondary buildings; in winter, we ask that the loading area be cleared for the farthest addresses.
Distance and pricing. Because Portneuf reaches beyond our standard zone around Quebec City, a distance surcharge ($1 per kilometre beyond the zone, per our rate sheet) may be added for the farthest municipalities — Saint-Raymond, Deschambault-Grondines. We work it out and tell you on the phone before confirming, never a surprise on arrival. The rest of the price depends on the volume we load, same as everywhere.
